Augmented Reality

Lecture Review

Constantly striving to predict what the future will hold can be tiring. Even as a chemist, I would see physicists continue their search to create predictions. I see some benefits to predictions. I also see the benefit is taking each moment as it is. I think this will be the bases of creation for me. Some of the work created in the module evolved from no plan or prediction. Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality is an intriguing model; if AR becomes dominant in the future along with smartphones, virtual Reality. Now Augmented Reality (AR) is changing how people experience physical and virtual environments (Marielle, F. et al. 2022); how valuable and necessary are they? Marielle, F. et al. are developing evidence in 2023 to evidence the behaviour advances in the younger generation. Is V R and AR a healthy development for future generations? A distortion of Reality and seeing through a lens of the unnatural. Is it a catalyst in navigating the newer generations to virtual reality, a home situated in apps, games and a model that takes away from intimacy, humanness and interaction, animals, nature, and communication?

Inspiration

– Harnessing the humanness of design.

– Fast forward to NOW.

– Back to Reality.

Here I am exploring the idea of the inverse reality of Virtual Reality. The change in the paradigm of technology surrendering to nature. Technology and future generation hold the fundamental key to real, actual change. I leave a lot of unanswered questions here to leave space for interpretation; let the mind play.

Obstacles Faced and Overcome

Spending a lot of time at my computer due to the nature of my circumstances. It has been difficult; I prefer the interaction, hands-on approach, or a combination of the two. The thought of design advancing and AI and AR dominating could take us further away from reality and those human aspects of our personality.
